08/20/10 Home 2.51 10.8 0:14 This could quite possibly be my last work commute for like 9 months. I hope not. I guess we'll see what happens once I kick into the fall school schedule next week. I saw that old dude at the bus stop. It made me feel a little euphoric. Like, as long as that dude is at the bus stop every morning, everything is gonna be alright. I hate my right shoelace. It's WAY too long for some reason. It got all wrapped up in the chain ring.

08/19/10 Work 2.66 11.0 0:15 The groundhogs and Canadian geese are my only friends during these rides.

08/12/10 Home 2.50 11.4 0:13 It was so overcast that it seemed almost like nighttime. It felt like the skies were gonna open up. But they never did, thankfully. High an' dry.

08/11/10 Work 2.66 10.7 0:15 I swear that my back has been covered with sweat this entire summer. Like, it never dried off. So, I thought that Texas Flood was chock full o' blues licks. If that's the case then Testify is the veritable Bible of blues licks. There's like 7 separate guitar leads in that track. I split them up into 7 different MP3s so that I can memorize each one separately and then I'll piece them all together in my head when I play them as one song. I think that there's gonna hafta be a guitar video of that one once I get it mastered.

08/06/10 Home 2.49 12.2 0:12 I love when a customer's supervisor gets on the phone and demands the service that you had already begun to provide the customer in the first place. I love when a coworker purposely disturbs you while you're trying to provide that service as quickly and as professionally as possible like you're expected to. Sometimes I really love my job. Sometimes I'm just glad to be home.

08/05/10 Work 2.66 11.3 0:14 I don't wanna work, I just wanna bang on my guitar all day.

08/05/10 Home 2.49 11.9 0:12 I love when I come outta work in the morning and it's so humid that my grips feel wet. There was the scent of a stink bug in the air as well. It just hung there, hardcore...

08/04/10 Work 2.66 10.7 0:15 It's too bad more people don't ride bikes. Like, in some Asian territories or Sweden or some places like that where they ride bikes more than drive cars. I think that we'd be a healthier bunch and it would raise awareness of the fact that people DO ride bikes on the street. It would be cool.

07/27/10 Work 2.66 10.8 0:15 I'll be leaving on the first golden winged ship that passes my way. Until then, I'll hafta keep on working for the man to pay the man. But there's gotta be a way, a better way. God Bless America.

07/27/10 Home 2.50 11.2 0:13 Hoodie required. The song I'm Cryin' is nearly identical to Pride and Joy. I wonder why they released those 2 tracks on the same disc. It's cool though. Now I have 9 songs to learn instead of 10.

07/26/10 Work 2.65 11.3 0:14 It didn’t feel that hot out but for some reason I got sweatier than I did on any other day this summer. I was crankin’ some SRV. That guy jam-packed every song with tons of blues licks. It’s like, couldn’t he hang on some chords a little more often? Now I gotta memorize all of these different licks. It’s awesome though. That’s why we love his music. Frozen Sprite is pretty cool too.

07/21/10 Home 2.48 12.0 0:12 I loaded Texas Flood onto my MP3 player before I left work so that I can listen to it repeatedly. I love to immerse myself in a record when I'm studying it and learning it. I get really into it. I saw that old dude get off the bus at the bus stop right near my work. So, apparently, he works right across the street. That means that he gets off the bus approximately one mile after getting on it. He should walk that. But, he is kinda old, I guess.

07/20/10 Work 2.66 11.4 0:14 I got Yocco’d with some of the Sitler clan before work. It’s freakin’ hot out. I didn’t run into any more Driscolls on the way in.

07/20/10 Home 2.51 11.1 0:13 I had a bottle of laundry detergent and a bottle of fabric softener in my pack. It kinda weighed it down a bit. But I totally beat that old man to the bridge this morning. So, I'm cruising down 17th St. and I start thinking about the fact that I'm rollin' through the "old" Driscoll neighborhood there. And I'll be damned if I didn't run into another Driscoll while rollin' through that neighborhood. Devin Driscoll rolls up beside me in his car and tries to get my attention. Of course, I couldn't hear him 'cause The Black Crowes were WAY too loud. But, I eventually noticed that there was a car pacing next to me. I pulled out my left marshmallow and we bid a good morning to each other. That was kinda cool. Then I mailed my RSVP to my friend Jeremy so that he knows that I'll be at his wedding. There was a point during this ride that I felt like I had left my body for a moment. It was weird. But if I wasn't there, then I don't know where I would have been.

07/19/10 Work 2.65 11.8 0:14 I rolled from A to B... Tori Amos to The Black Crowes. And it was cool.

06/29/10 Work 2.65 10.7 0:15 I'm glad that it's been so nice lately so I can ride a bike to work. Getting my van out of the garage has been a little tricky lately due to the fact that the neighbors have once again started to take over the alley by parking in front of our driveway. These are the same neighbors who have parked vehicles out there before. When it happened before, I tried to talk to them a couple of times and then I eventually left a note on their windshield explaining that I need to be able to get my van out of the garage. That seemed to resolve the issue. Apparently they forgot about that. But it's pretty obvious that parking out there makes it impossible for me to get in and out of the garage. Well, at least it's pretty obvious to me. And I’m not like a genius or anything.
Odometer = 924.1
06/29/10 Home 2.49 11.2 0:13 I hadn't seen that old dude at the bus stop in a long time. I thought that maybe he got a car, retired, or died. He's back.
Odometer = 921.4
06/28/10 Work 2.65 10.9 0:14 I flow seamlessly from extreme metal to Tori Amos. While riding my bike.

06/27/10 Work 2.65 10.9 0:15 That's right, I ride a bike. Sometimes a little more laid back than other times. But it's alright.

06/17/10 Home 2.49 11.5 0:13 I need a vacation...
So get up, get, get get down

06/17/10 Work 2.43 10.6 0:14 Day shift. I was listening to the track Purple Rain when I first left the house. That's where I left off after my last ride. After that track finished, this incredible metal came blasting in my ears. It had the flavor of black metal mixed with some other kind of metal. I don't even know what band it was but I'm pretty sure that it was a band that Chad recently hooked me up with. It was pretty crazy. I'm looking forward to hearing some more of that on the way home. Metal up your fuckin' ass!
Odometer = 908.5
06/16/10 Home 2.48 12.5 0:12 I was on fire this morning. I think that I was hopped up on caffeine. I was jumping everything that I could possibly jump. I wore the Marshmallows for the ride home. I may figure out a way to anchor those Bluetooth headphones to my skull. Until then, I won't use them. Baby, I'm a star...
